WAYNE IVAN KOWALUK It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Wayne on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Riverview Health Center after a lengthy battle with cancer, at the age of 67 years. Remaining to forever cherish Wayne's memory are his children, Troy (Cathy), Garry (Shari), Lee (Louis), Lori, Lana; grandchildren, Trevor, Kevin, Kirsten, Andrea, Sara and Sydney; as well as friend, Lillian. Wayne was born in Winnipeg on June 18, 1940. He resided in the Winnipeg area all of his life and retired from Public Works after 27 years of service. Wayne enjoyed his retirement spending time at Lake of the Woods on his pontoon boat with his dog Patch. Dad had a great love of animals and for the outdoors. In compliance with Wayne's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A private family burial will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Oncology and Riverview Health Centre for their compassion and care of Dad. Flowers are graciously declined, if friends so wish a donation can be made in Dad's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T OR3. God Grant Me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen
